Parkinson’s disease is a complex condition which can cause multiple motor and non-symptoms. These vary from person-to-person and can change across the disease course. We have been working with a company called NeuroPath who have developed a way of monitoring people’s symptoms and wellbeing online via a digital tool (that is, by asking people to complete tasks and questionnaires on their mobile phones or tablets).
This week we invited people living with Parkinson’s and their family members to give feedback on an early working prototype of the digital tool that we hope to use in the Parkinson’s Centre.
We held two workshops: one in Deal and another in Canterbury. During the workshops we introduced people to the tool and explained how the different features work. Attendees now have two weeks to use the tool at home on their mobile phones and tablets. They will provide feedback on what they enjoyed about using the tool and which aspects could be improved. We will use this feedback to help develop an improved tool ready for use at the Parkinson’s Centre.
