Shepherd Neame supports the PCIT Horticultural Therapy Programme

We are continually inspired by the generosity of our community who share our commitment to supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Today, we welcomed Dave and Paul from Shepherd Neame to the Centre to deliver four beautifully restored beer barrels which we will use for our horticultural therapy programme.

Gardening has long been recognised as being beneficial for those with Parkinson’s and horticultural therapy offers many benefits including improved motor skills and mental wellbeing.  The introduction of these unique beer barrels will give our members a fresh opportunity to engage with nature and build connections with one another.

We are incredibly grateful to Shepherd Neame for their generous support and look forward to the continued success of our horticultural therapy programme.
