The Hospital Saturday Fund donates £9,360 to the Parkinson’s Centre

We are extremely grateful to the Hospital Saturday Fund for supporting the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy with a grant of £9,360 towards our neurophysiotherapy programme.

The Hospital Saturday Fund is a registered charity whose aims are to provide assistance to organisations who are in need of grants for medical projects, care, research or support of medical training within the UK. More information about the charity can be found on their website.

Dr Laura Smith, Academic Lead for the new Centre said “We are absolutely delighted that the Hospital Saturday Fund chose to support the Parkinson’s Centre, their donation will have a huge impact on people living with Parkinson’s in Kent and beyond. Neurophysiotherapy will be one of the major therapies offered at the Centre and this will help many of our members to stay active and manage their symptoms. On behalf of the team behind the Parkinson’s Centre, we would like to express our most sincere thanks to the charity.”

We look forward to welcoming representatives from the Hospital Saturday Fund to the Centre when it opens in spring 2023.
