We were delighted to present to the Ashford Rotary Club on Monday 8th August at The Elwick Club. President Elect Liz Stuart-Smith invited Dr Laura Smith to join the Rotarians for dinner, after which Laura presented plans for the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy to members. The Rotarians heard about how the Centre will provide individualised and integrated non-drug therapies for the Kent community. They also heard about the cutting edge research currently being conducted at the University of Kent to explore novel neurostimulation interventions and develop tools to manage Parkinson’s symptoms. The Rotarians were excited about the plans and asked lots of interesting questions about how Parkinson’s is diagnosed and treated.
We want to thank the Ashford Rotary Club and their members for supporting the Centre.
