Parkinson’s Centre presents to WI groups

We were delighted to be invited by the East Kent Federation of Women’s Institutes to their AGM on 16th March at Leas Cliff Hall to present the plans for the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy to around 500 of their members. The group of women heard about how the Centre will provide individualised and integrated non-drug therapies to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of those living with Parkinson’s disease. They also heard about the cutting edge neurostimulation research currently being conducted at the University of Kent. There was a lot of excitement and interest about both the Centre and the research, and £121.45 was generously donated by members present at the event. We want to thank you to the East Kent Federation of Women’s Institutes and their members for their support and generosity towards the Centre.
