Tackling the impact of non-visible disabilities

David Wilkinson speaking to an audience at an event

Launch of Medway’s Non-Visible Disability Initiative

We were kindly invited to this exciting event held at the spectacular Rochester Cathedral. The event provided an overview of a new initiative which aims to tackle the impact of non-visible disabilities, which includes health conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.

Professor Wilkinson delivered a platform presentation introducing the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy and explaining how those interested could support the Centre.

We also hosted a stall at the ‘marketplace’ where we were able to speak to members of the community and local partners about the Centre and what resources we hope to offer. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and received lots of interest in the Centre.
