Kent Law Campaign celebrates the success of its student volunteers

Student Volunteers of the Kent Law Campaign are celebrating after being honoured at a dedicated awards ceremony to congratulate them on their many successes over the past academic year.

On Wednesday 4th June 2014, 36 students, staff and other guests attended the Kent Law Campaign’s annual celebration event and informal awards ceremony in Eliot Senior Common Room on the University’s Canterbury campus.  The event was designed to thank all the students who have supported the Kent Law Campaign over the past academic year and to welcome those who have pledged their support during 2014/15.

Eddie Lee, Technical Officer of the Kent Law Campaign Student Group 2013/14, said: “I was thrilled to be invited to this event and felt honoured to receive a certificate detailing the difference I had made to the Kent Law Campaign this academic year. I was made to feel so appreciated and will miss working with the team once we graduate next month.  I will be sure to join the Young Alumni Group though to continue my association with this most worthy campaign.”

Campaigns Manager, Anna Pollard, said: ‘We are extremely proud of everything our volunteers have achieved this year whether they were part of the Kent Law Campaign Student Group (KLCSG), took part in  a sponsored event, organised a fundraising event or helped in any other way such as taking photographs at our events or for the KLCSG’s annual calendar.  We owe so much to our student volunteers as they played a large part in the success of the Campaign both by raising money and by inspiring our alumni and friends.”

Santander have pledged to support the KLCSG 2014/15 and representatives from the campus branch were welcomed to the event by the new committee who are so grateful to them for their generosity.
