{"id":249,"date":"2023-12-23T22:14:39","date_gmt":"2023-12-23T22:14:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/cyber-institute-news\/?p=249"},"modified":"2023-12-23T22:14:55","modified_gmt":"2023-12-23T22:14:55","slug":"isc2-icss-kmcc-1mcc-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/cyber-institute-news\/2023\/12\/23\/isc2-icss-kmcc-1mcc-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"ISC2-iCSS-KMCC 1MCC cyber security certification campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just before the 2023 Christmas, together with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/kmcc-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KMCC (Kent &amp; Medway Cyber Cluster)<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isc2.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISC2<\/a><\/strong>, KMCC is launching a campaign for people in Kent and Medway to consider taking <strong>the free ISC2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.isc2.org\/certifications\/cc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CC (Certified in Cybersecurity) certification<\/a><\/strong> for beginners who are interested in starting a new cyber security career path. The holiday period is hopefully a very good time for some to participate and get CC-certified before they go back to study\/work in the new year!<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is organised as part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.isc2.org\/landing\/1mcc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ISC2\u2019s 1MCC campaign<\/strong><\/a>, aiming at getting 1 million people CC-certified to help fill the cyber security skills gap.<\/p>\n<p>Although the joint ISC2-iCSS-KMCC campaign is particularly designed for people in Kent and Medway, we also welcome people from outside our region to participate. Given how big a cyber security skills gap we have, the more people are interested in cyber security, the better!<\/p>\n<p>Please read\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyber.kent.ac.uk\/flyers\/ISC2-iCSS-KMCC-1MCC.pdf\">the PDF flyer of the campaign<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to get more detailed instructions on how to participate.
