Depending in the weather and the tides, we hope to sail out to the WW2 Maunsell forts and\/or the Kentish Flats wind farm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date<\/strong>: Friday 11 September 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting time<\/strong>: 9.30am<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting place<\/strong>: Whitstable Harbour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of participants<\/strong>: 10<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walking distance<\/strong>: n\/a<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong>: approximately 5 hours at sea, plus travel from Canterbury to Whitstable and back<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do I need to know<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The Greta website has lots of information about the trip. Please note that Greta passengers board and disembark at their own risk via a near vertical ladder attached to the Harbour wall. Passengers must ensure that they wear suitable clothing and flat footwear. A pair of non-slippery deck shoes are essential. We recommend that you also bring a lightweight, waterproof jacket\/fleece. For those hot sunny days, don&#8217;t forget your hat, sun cream &amp; sun glasses. Passengers often bring a good book to read along\u00a0with a camera.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What will be do about food and drink?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You need to bring your own food and drink (no alcohol).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What adaptations have been made in light of Covid-19?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Passengers will remain outside on deck and there will not be access to the cabin. People from different households should remain 2m apart. The toilet will be open with enhanced hygeine measures in place. We are likely to travel together on the bus or by car.
