{"id":700,"date":"2026-01-21T14:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T14:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/conferencesandevents\/?p=700"},"modified":"2026-01-22T12:15:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T12:15:56","slug":"chamber-connections-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/conferencesandevents\/2026\/01\/21\/chamber-connections-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Chamber Connections 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a pleasure to host the first Chamber Connections event of the year on Thursday 8 January, in partnership with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kentinvictachamber.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We welcomed over 130 members to our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/conferences-and-events\/venues\/darwin-conference-suite\">Darwin Conference Suite<\/a>\u00a0for a morning of networking with fellow business professionals from across Kent.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees also heard from our Vice-Chancellor, Georgina Randsley de Moura, who shared updates on the exciting things happening at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/\">University of Kent<\/a>, including our 60th-anniversary celebrations and a reminder\u00a0that our campus is very much open for business.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What an amazing first Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce <span aria-hidden=\"true\">#<\/span>chamberconnections event of 2026! \ud83c\udf89A huge 145 people booked on and the energy in the room was incredible. What a way to kick off the year!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sandra Heyworth, Sales Manager for Conferences and Events, along with Emily Seling, External Communications Officer, then hosted a tour of our beautiful campus, showcasing some of the event spaces available to hire throughout the year. From our Templeman Library, the largest library in Kent and open to all, to our very own Moot Court, at Kent Law School. We have a wide range of spaces available to hire throughout the year.
