The award is part of a\u00a0\u00a350 million investment\u00a0by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/\">National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)\u00a0<\/a>in the national\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/about-us\/how-we-are-managed\/our-structure\/research\/research-design-service\/contact-us.htm\">RDS network<\/a>\u00a0which operates from\u00a010 regional centres<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>across England.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The RDS SE is a\u00a0<strong>collaboration<\/strong>\u00a0between\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/chss\/\">CHSS<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brighton.ac.uk\/about-us\/contact-us\/academic-departments\/school-of-health-sciences.aspx\">School of Health Sciences<\/a>\u00a0at the University of Brighton and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.surrey.ac.uk\/faculty-health-medical-sciences\">Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences\u00a0<\/a>at the University of Surrey. Now in its tenth year, it provides\u00a0<strong>free and confidential research design and methodological support<\/strong>\u00a0to health and social care researchers in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/digitaltechnology\/info-revolution\/digital-roadmaps\/footprints\/south-england\/south-east8\/\">NHS South East Coast\u00a0<\/a>region, helping them to develop grant applications to the NIHR and other national peer-reviewed funding programmes. It advises on\u00a0all aspects of preparing grant applications<\/p>\n<p>The team includes\u00a0specialist health economists and statisticians\u00a0who are a vital part of protocol design and have a<strong>\u00a0wealth of experience<\/strong>\u00a0to offer.
