{"id":1389,"date":"2017-06-01T10:32:46","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T09:32:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/chss-news\/?p=1389"},"modified":"2017-06-01T11:14:54","modified_gmt":"2017-06-01T10:14:54","slug":"watch-chss-pre-election-health-policy-debate-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/chss-news\/2017\/06\/01\/watch-chss-pre-election-health-policy-debate-here\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch CHSS pre-election health policy debate here!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was a packed house at the Gulbenkian Theatre for last night&#8217;s <strong>CHSS-hosted health policy debate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whatever their political leanings, all who came along were clearly passionate about future health and social care services in our region, and at national level.<\/p>\n<p>We are extremely grateful to all the brave Parliamentary candidates who came along to face a barrage of questions from an animated audience, on topics including funding the NHS, privatisation and mental health services.<\/p>\n<p>The panel was chaired by CHSS Director Prof Stephen Peckham, and the candidates were:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sir Julian Brazier, <em>Conservative\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n\u2022 Rosie Duffield, <em>Labour\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n\u2022 James Flanagan, <em>Liberal Democrat<\/em><br \/>\n\u2022 Henry Stanton, <em>Green\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you weren&#8217;t lucky enough to be there, you can <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/kenttelevision\" target=\"_blank\">watch <\/a><\/strong>the whole event or <a href=\"http:\/\/csrfm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>listen<\/strong> <\/a>online (brought to you in collaboration with KTV and CSRfm).<\/p>\n<p>There was also lots of Twitter activity during the debate and you can<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/storify.com\/Pssru_kent\/centre-for-health-service-studies?\" target=\"_blank\">follow the #CHSSge17 action on Storify<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be more about this highly successful event in our next <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/chss\/news\/newsletters\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">CHSS newsletter<\/a><\/strong>, out at the end of July.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There was a packed house at the Gulbenkian Theatre for last night&#8217;s CHSS-hosted health policy debate.
