She is enrolled on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate\/2500\/chartered-manager\">Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship<\/a>. Read about her experience of working alongside her apprenticeship below:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Apprenticeship scheme provides great learning and development opportunities.\u00a0 I was looking for additional professional qualifications that would help me further my career and was struggling to find something that was different to those qualifications I had already achieved.<\/p>\n<p>When I learned about the Apprenticeship Levy and the Higher Degree Apprenticeships I was shocked to find that I could apply.\u00a0 I am now in my early 30\u2019s undertaking a second degree (BSc in Business Management) and also developing my professional portfolio to achieve my Chartered Manager status with CMI.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_678\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-678\" style=\"width: 370px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-678\" style=\"color: #333333;quot;quot;,sans-serif;font-size: 14.66px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: 400;height: auto;letter-spacing: normal;max-width: 100%;text-align: left;text-decoration: none;text-indent: 0px;text-transform: none;vertical-align: middle;border: 0px none currentColor\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/chda\/files\/2021\/01\/Kim14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"370\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-678\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kimberley Bree, Chartered Manager Apprentice<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Whilst it is hard work to complete this alongside my day job, I get study time and support to take me through the 4 year course.\u00a0 I am now in my second year and have not looked back \u2013 the course has been challenging but interesting and I have developed useful skills and knowledge to support my day job.<\/p>\n<p>The best part is that I have not had to pay for this professional qualification and second degree \u2013 the Apprenticeship Levy covers it.\u00a0 I would recommend that anyone interested in developing their career takes a look at the Higher Degree Apprenticeship opportunities \u2013 Apprenticeships are not just for school leavers as I once thought!&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kimberley Bree is as an Associate Project Manager at the University of Kent.
