The University of Kent has been successful in securing funding to deliver apprenticeships to non-levy paying employers \u2013 those with an annual pay bill of less than \u00a33m. The funding has been allocated by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and is a result of recent changes to the apprenticeships system to increase the number of apprenticeships available.<\/p>\n
This is particularly good news for non-levy paying employers, typically SMEs, who can access Kent\u2019s high-quality degree apprenticeship provision, whilst having 90-100% of their training costs covered through government co-investment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleased that Kent\u2019s proven track record in apprenticeship delivery, as well as the quality and value for money our service represents to smaller employers, has been recognised through this funding award. This funding will enable us to maintain the relationships we have developed with SMEs across England whilst continuing to forge new partnerships with smaller employers\u201d \u2013 Scott Wildman, Director, Centre for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.<\/p>\n
