\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At the start of each apprenticeship we make a visit to learners at their place of work, so this September we\u2019ve travelled from Ulverston to Sandwich to meet all our learners – along with managers and mentors – and make sure that they\u2019re prepared to embark on their apprenticeship journey.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In total over 90 new apprentices started with us in September and four of them are pictured below, Paige, Dan, Matt and Shaan who are embarking on Applied Bioscience and Applied Chemical Science courses, which will lead to the award of an FdSc. They\u2019ve got plenty of support from the managers, supervisors and mentors at AstraZeneca, who are also pictured. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 Starting off as an apprentice means taking on a role with an employer \u2013 either an apprenticeship role with a current employer or starting a job with a new organisation – and also becoming a student with the University of Kent at the same time.
