Celebrating Diversity at the 2025 Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards

This year’s Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards were truly a sight to behold. Held at the Hilton London Metropole, the evening brought together over 700 guests to celebrate excellence, ambition, and diversity in apprenticeships.

Established by The Pathway Group, in partnership with Pearson, the world’s leading lifelong learning company, the awards showcase the hard work and achievements of apprentices from multicultural backgrounds. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the awards and a decade of growth, inclusion, and progress in the apprenticeship landscape.

We were thrilled to have eight of our apprentices shortlisted across a range of categories, representing a variety of sectors and employers:

Charity, Voluntary & Public Services

  • Hammaad from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
  • Inshaal from the HM Treasury
  • Isha from Ofcom
  • Ra’ana from Verian Group
  • Huda from the Bank of England

Health, Medical & Social Care

  • Peace from Syneos Health
  • Temi from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Creative, Media & Marketing

  • Jasmine from the BBC

With over 500 nominations received this year, being shortlisted at such a prestigious event is an incredible achievement. The judges described this year’s competition as “hair-splittingly close,” with the standard of nominees higher than ever.

Cheering them on throughout the night was our apprenticeship team, proud to support each and every nominee.

We’re delighted to share that three of our apprentices received Highly Commended awards:

  • Hammaad and Ra’ana in the Charity, Voluntary & Public Services category
  • Jasmine in the Creative, Media & Marketing category

Speaking about the experience, Ra’ana shared how special being Highly commended was for her:

“Being highly commended is such an honour, especially as a working mother from an underrepresented background in social research. It recognises the hard work and dedication that goes into being an apprentice – working and studying at the same time, whilst going above and beyond to make the industry better and promote awareness of the apprenticeship as well. It acknowledges that my voice and contributions have value. I am grateful for everyone that has supported me in getting this far and am extremely proud of this achievement despite the challenges I have overcome to be where I am today.”

We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and the inspiring example they set for future apprentices.

The Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards shine a light on what’s possible when opportunity is open to everyone. By celebrating the diverse voices and experiences that make up our apprenticeship community, events like these help drive progress, representation, and inclusion across every sector.
