This is an introduction to the most useful resources for English Language and Linguistics.<\/p>\n

Books & eBooks<\/h4>\n

The majority of books related to English Language and Linguistics are located in D Block, Floor 1.<\/p>\n

When searching for titles on LibrarySearch<\/a> don’t forget to make a note of the location class mark and loan status.<\/p>\n

The library has access to thousands of electronic books that you can search for via LibrarySearch using keywords, title or author information. Books can be read online or downloaded, and you will need your Kent credentials to login and read the electronic versions.<\/p>\n

Journals & Databases<\/h4>\n

Use journal articles in your assignments to get the most current research and thinking and read about specific aspects of a topic. The easiest way to find journal articles is to do a keyword search for your topic in LibrarySearch<\/a>. We also have databases to help you find journal articles and other relevant material for your subject (they may not all be included in LibrarySearch).<\/p>\n

A key database you should try for English Language and Linguistics is Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts<\/a> – search on the keywords for your topic to find relevant academic articles, books, conference papers and dissertations.<\/p>\n
