They killed 12 people and the carnage didn&#8217;t stop there. After a hostage situation and a wide manhunt, Paris became the symbol of a fight to protect the freedom of speech and the press.\u00a0 The phrase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/blogs-trending-35108339\"><em>Je suis Charlie<\/em><\/a> became a common slogan of support at the rallies and in social media.<\/p>\n<p>CFj grad Mathilde Guenegan was the producer on call for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lci.fr\/direct\/\">LCI TV<\/a>\u00a0 when the attacks happened.
