Want to help them learn more about their career options &#8211; and how to land that all-important first job?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you know\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the creative industries now generate close to \u00a311.5 billion to the UK economy<\/li>\n<li>1 in 11 jobs is now in this area<\/li>\n<li>and 61K creative jobs were created in 2019 alone!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Discover more on Kent Creative Industries Day! Join us on Zoom<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019d like to invite you and your students to join us on Zoom from 10.00 \u2013 13.00 BST on Thursday 24 June for Kent Creatives Industries Day, an exciting online event we\u2019ve devised to help young people progress into a career in the creative industries.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll begin with a talk on how to land your first job in the creative sector. Your students will also be able to sample innovative online taster sessions and workshops (via breakout rooms) in areas that include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>digital design<\/li>\n<li>social media and journalism<\/li>\n<li>creative marketing<\/li>\n<li>employability in the music industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These sessions will be led by University of Kent academics from the <a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/journalism\">Centre for Journalism,<\/a> the <a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\">School of Arts,\u00a0<\/a>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-digital-arts\">School of Engineering and Digital Arts<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\">Kent Business School<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll also introduce a thought-provoking range of university progression pathways. And we\u2019ll be engaging students in discussions about the diverse range of career options available to them within the sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book now!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Limited spaces for this event are available \u2013 contact <a href=\"mailto:outreach@kent.ac.uk\">outreach@kent.ac.uk<\/a> to book places for your students.
