Centre for Journalism volunteers help to make international event a success!

The XXIII Congress of the Worldwide Association of Women Journalists and Writers comes to the UK

Four days, more than 300 delegates from 20 countries, and over 85 speakers: the University of Kent was proud to be host the XXIII Congress of the Worldwide Association of Women Journalists and Writers. With the help of the International Partnerships Fund and the Internationalisation Office, the Centre for Journalism was one of 4 host institutions of an international event that brought together women writers and journalists from around the world.

Our students, past and present, were uniquely equipped to help out as volunteers. Many of them used their incredible language skills to help translate for international delegates. Other used their hard learned social media skills to cover the conference online for @CfjKent and @AMMPEWorld on Instagram and Facebook.
