Charlotte Askew Graduated from The University of Kent in 2022 and has secured a role as a community artist and project facilitator with Zinc. <\/p>\n

Charlotte was connected with the SafetyNet+<\/span> Scheme by the Careers and Employability Service.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Original Status:<\/strong> Charlotte had begun to look online to explore opportunities when she joined our career coaching support. While she felt somewhat confident, Charlotte was looking for support in her decisions and next steps.<\/p>\n

Support Provided:<\/strong> Charlotte\u2019s coach worked closely with her to explore working in the voluntary sector, finding appropriate networks, and how to secure funding for setting up a community interest company. Charlotte shared that she appreciated \u201cthe variety of information and resources supplied to me to help support my career long-term\u201d.<\/p>\n

What Charlotte Found Most Valuable:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe support has helped ease the difficult transition between leaving formal education and working. My university continue to support me even after having graduated and left\u201d.<\/p>\n

How the Support Helped Charlotte with her Confidence:<\/strong> \u201cMy coach enabled me to realise that building a career path can be something enjoyable and exciting, rather than terrifying and daunting.<\/p>\n

I am more confident applying for jobs and experiences completely outside of my comfort zone and to not restrict my choices based off my previous experiences\u201d.<\/p>\n

What Charlotte Said About the Support:<\/strong> \u201cMy coach always got back to me quickly and provided ample amount of information and useful resources to help create my own business in the future.
