Ibraheem Griffiths graduated from The University of Kent in 2021 and has secured a role as a Case Administrator at Nationwide Building Society.<\/p>\n

Ibraheem was connected with the SafetyNet+ Scheme by the Careers and Employability Service.<\/p>\n

Original Status:<\/span><\/b> Ibraheem sought coaching support to find a graduate role. At the start of the support, he wasn\u2019t studying or working and felt that he \u201clacked direction\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Support Provided:<\/span><\/b> Support was provided around jobs and sectors of interest as initially Ibraheem was not sure what sector he wanted to get into and what would be involved in each role. Support also included a CV review, advice given around writing cover letters and applications as well as interview technique coaching.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What Ibraheem Found Most Valuable:<\/span><\/b> \u201cThe most valuable aspect would definitely be having someone to talk through your situation with. It\u2019s an awkward time to be talking about employment struggles with fellow graduates. Either they\u2019re also struggling, or worse, they\u2019ve left you behind climbing up that ladder.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How the Support Helped Ibraheem with Confidence:<\/span><\/b> \u201cPrior to the coaching, I was also unsure whether my applications weren\u2019t up to par, or whether I wasn\u2019t sending out enough of them. Feedback was really helpful in tailoring my approach and saved me a lot of wasted effort.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What Ibraheem Said About the Support:<\/span><\/b> \u201cI learned a lot. What wording employers look for on a CV, how to present oneself in interviews, and the importance of reaching out. I would advise any graduates who are considering the coaching to give it a shot. A half hour call every week or two, booked for a time of your choosing, is a small price to pay. You\u2019ll definitely learn something. More importantly, regular feedback will help improve your applications, hopefully getting you closer to your role of choice.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
