Matthew Youngs Graduated from The University of Kent in 2022 and has secured a role as a Legal Claims specialist. <\/p>\n

Matthew was connected with the SafetyNet+ Scheme by the Careers and Employability Service.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Original Status<\/strong>: Matthew joined our career coaching support fairly confident and had begun
\nsubmitting applications for his ideal role within the legal sector. However, Matthew was not
\ncurrently working or studying.<\/p>\n

Support Provided<\/strong>: Matthew\u2019s coach worked closely with him to create a CV, sharing guidance and
\nreviewing applications for legal roles. This support led to Matthew making it through the initial
\nrecruitment stage and progressing to receive interview invitations. His coach then worked with him
\nto prepare and ran a mock interview for practice. Matthew was then successful and received a
\ngraduate job offer, texting his coach to share the good news.<\/p>\n

What Matthew Found Most Valuable:<\/strong> \u201cFor me the CV writing was the most valuable. Being guided
\non writing a strong opening paragraph, and being given tips on how to effectively write descriptions
\nfor my previous experiences helped me get noticed by employers and recruiters\u201d.<\/p>\n

How the Support Helped Matthew with his Confidence:<\/strong> The support received helped Matthew to
\nfeel much more confident and prepared going into interviews. On top of this knowing his CV was of a
\nhigh standard helped Matthew confidence in applying for those ideal legal positions.<\/p>\n

What Matthew Said About the Support:<\/strong> Matthew told us that he had an excellent coach who
\nsupported him with a range of employability tips and techniques to help him secure a role postgraduation.<\/p>\n
