Dr. Tareq Sydiq is a research fellow at the Center for Conflict Studies Marburg. He has worked in German, Iran and Japan and is interested in protests and political interests in authoritarian contexts. His research includes questions of generational dynamics and diasporic/international influence on protest movements. His dissertation on authoritarian interest negotiations in Iran was published this year. Currently, he is coordinating the research network “Postcolonial Hierarchies in Peace and Conflict”
