Dissertation proposals were due on Friday March 13 and were submitted remotely (as they have been for several years now) and are being marked even now. Dissertation supervision will take place via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After making the shift to remote and independent learning, our thoughts are now turning to the academic analysis of covid-19 and how we can analyse its implications through the lens of all of the topics we study. The so-called \u201crefugee crisis\u201d in 2015 did not succeed in closing the intra-Schengen borders, but covid-19 did. What conclusions can we draw from that? We\u2019ll be adjusting our module outlines for the fall to take covid-19 into account in each of our areas.
