Please find a quick reminder below about the e-resources available to you.<\/p>\n

<\/a>E-Resources<\/h2>\n

The start point for all e-resources is the university library\u2019s Brussels landing page:<\/p>\n

From here you will be able to access e-books, e-journals, subject guides and other e-resources.<\/p>\n

Key information:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To find library holdings use LibrarySearch Europe<\/a>.\u00a0 This covers ebooks and online articles.<\/li>\n
  2. Use library subject guides<\/a> for subject specific advice<\/li>\n
  3. If you can\u2019t find the book you need on LibrarySearch Europe, staff and students at BSIS also have access to an additional 180,000 ebooks through ProQuest Ebook Central<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. You can access a huge range of e-resources from the library webpages<\/a> including news resources, official publications, multimedia resources, reference material, theses and dissertations and more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    If using Google Scholar students should adjust the setting so that they identify resources that are available to Kent students.\u00a0 To do so, go to http:\/\/scholar.google.com<\/a>,<\/a> click on \u201cSettings\u201d, then \u201cLibrary Links\u201d, then type in \u201cKent\u201d into the search box, and then select the University of Kent option.<\/p>\n

    If you are searching for policy papers or other non-academic sources, you will have to use Google search. But do be aware that some sources are not as reliable as others.<\/p>\n

    <\/a>Physical Collections<\/h2>\n

    If you cannot find the item(s) you need on LibrarySearch Europe<\/a>, ProQuest Ebook Central<\/a> or through the other eresources<\/a> try local libraries in Brussels.\u00a0 A list of recommended libraries in Brussels is on the Brussels library webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    To search across local libraries please use the catalogue of Belgian research libraries, includes the catalogues of all Belgian state institutions: http:\/\/www.unicat.be\/<\/a><\/p>\n

    Some additional books are made available to students on a trust basis in the Student Study Area.\u00a0 Please do not remove these from the premises and please return all books onto the shelf from where you obtained them.<\/p>\n

    <\/a>Document Delivery<\/h2>\n

    If the item is not available from LibrarySearch Europe<\/a>, ProQuest Ebook Central<\/a> or through the other eresources<\/a> or from local libraries, please check with your supervisor to see if there is an alternative work that could be used.<\/p>\n

    If there is also no suitable alternative work and with the agreement of your supervisor you can request the item via the document delivery services.\u00a0 For information see Books, chapters or articles not available through LibrarySearch or in Brussels<\/a>.<\/p>\n
