{"id":1340,"date":"2013-12-18T12:42:11","date_gmt":"2013-12-18T12:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/brussels-news-events\/?p=1340"},"modified":"2013-12-18T12:42:11","modified_gmt":"2013-12-18T12:42:11","slug":"burston-marsteller-consultant-lectures-on-interest-representation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/brussels-news-events\/2013\/12\/18\/burston-marsteller-consultant-lectures-on-interest-representation\/","title":{"rendered":"Burston Marsteller consultant lectures on Interest Representation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Peter Linton, senior consultant with Burston Marsteller delivers a guest lecture this week on Interest Representation as part of the Political Communication module, convened by Dr NoelleAnne O&#8217;Sullivan.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Linton has years of experience in lobbying on behalf of governments, NGOs, corporations and associations, and will present several case studies to illustrate B-M&#8217;s approach.<\/p>\n<p>His work with the &#8220;European Internet Foundation&#8221; (<a href=\"www.EIFonline.org\">www.EIFonline.org<\/a>), brought together elected politicians, ICT sector and civil society leaders to share understanding, and experience of the digital revolution&#8217;s impact on European societies and political systems.<\/p>\n<p>As a co-founder of the highly influential Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN, ) in 1993, Linton has likewise become deeply involved in the development of political thinking in Europe on recasting Europe\/U.S. relations to respond to new common challenges in the post cold-war world.
