As the last lecture of the Political Communication module of this term, we have the pleasure of inviting Mr. Peter Linton, senior consultant with Burston Marsteller to deliver a guest lecture on Interest Representation.<\/p>\n
Peter Linton has years of experience in lobbying on behalf of governments, NGOs, corporations and associations, and will present several case studies to illustrate B-M’s approach.<\/p>\n
His work with the “European Internet Foundation” (www.EIFonline.org), brough together elected politicians, ICT sector and civil society leaders to share understanding, and experience of the digital revolution’s impact on European societies and political systems.<\/p>\n
As a co-founder of the highly influential Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN, ) in 1993, Linton has likewise become deeply involved in the development of political thinking in Europe on recasting Europe\/U.S. relations to respond to new common challenges in the post cold-war world. The TPN laid the foundation for the current TTIP Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership trade agreement between the EU and the US.<\/p>\n
The lecture is tomorrow, Wednesday 18 December at 19.00, in the Gandhi Suu Kyi room.<\/p>\n
