The Board of Examiners, which was attended by our External Examiners and programme convenors, met today to consider those students who have completed their programme of study.\u00a0 This email only concerns those students who have submitted a final dissertation and have completed their programme. Please read this email carefully.<\/p>\n
Early next week we will write to the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences asking him to ratify the results of the Board and then this signed authority will be sent to the Congregations Office for formal processing.\u00a0 Successful candidates will be contacted directly by the Congregations Office at their address found within the Student Data System to determine whether they wish to attend the award ceremony or not and to confirm the address to which their formal certificate should be sent.\u00a0 Please make sure that you have updated this address.<\/p>\n
Transcripts<\/p>\n
Once the formal authority of the Dean is signed and lodged with the Congregations Office, a digital transcript, in the form of a European Diploma Supplement, will be made available to you through the online system at this address;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student-records\/graduates\/european-diploma-supplement-login.html<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Please note that this process can take up to a week.<\/p>\n We will also ask Student Records to produce one hall-marked transcript and have it delivered to the office here in Brussels.\u00a0 We will hold it here for you until you have an address to which you want it to be sent. When you do, please email ukboffice@kent.ac.uk. If you ever require additional transcripts you should contact the Student Records Office at sturec@kent.ac.uk or through their website at http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student-records\/graduates\/index.html<\/a>.\u00a0 You will be able to see the mark for your dissertation on your transcript, however, if you wish to see the examiners\u2019 comments you should send an email to ukboffice@kent.ac.uk and we will scan it to you.<\/p>\n At the congregation ceremony you will receive your degree certificate.\u00a0 Those unable to attend will receive their certificate in the post at the address held in the Student Data System but only after the congregation has taken place.<\/p>\n Graduation<\/p>\n The next Graduation ceremony will be on Friday 22 November 2013 in Canterbury Cathedral at 7.15pm.\u00a0 Details regarding graduation, gown hire, timings, tickets etc can be found by going to the website at http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/congregations\/<\/a>\u00a0 and all related enquires should be addressed to congregations@kent.ac.uk.\u00a0 Students attending the ceremony are allowed a maximum of 2 guest tickets.\u00a0 This is because the design of the cathedral only allows that number of people to have a guaranteed, good and unimpeded view of the event.\u00a0 Additional tickets may be purchased through the Congregations Office but the seating will not be with the other two guests.\u00a0 Details can be found on the Congregations website.\u00a0 You may also wish to consult the relevant page on our website at:\u00a0 http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/brussels\/studying\/graduation.html<\/a><\/p>\n As part of this event we are planning to arrange a short celebration in Canterbury either before or after the ceremony.\u00a0 If you are interested in helping to organise this, please email bsis@kent.ac.uk.\u00a0 Details of the event will be sent out nearer the time.<\/p>\n Results of the Board<\/p>\n The following candidates, listed by exam number, are deemed to have satisfied the conditions for a final classification of the award of a masters degree from the University of Kent.\u00a0 Your exam number can be found on your KentOne card and is only know to you.<\/p>\n Distinction<\/p>\n 118063 Merit<\/p>\n 117497 Pass<\/p>\n 119526 If your exam number does not feature above and you have completed the programme and therefore expected to graduate at this board, please contact the UKB office as soon as possible at ukboffice@kent.ac.uk.
