On Wed 23 Jan 2013 at 13h, Michael Mann, Chief Spokesman to Cathy Ashton, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will give a Guest Lecture on ‘Communicating Policy – The Role of an EU Spokesman’ .
Before taking up his current post Michael was spokesman to Maros Sefcovic, the Commission vice-president responsible for inter-institutional relations and administration, and before that the spokesman to Mariann Fischer Boel, the Commissioner for Agriculture (selling the logic of farm subsidies). He was also spokesman to Neil Kinnock in 2002. He is an ex-journalist and worked for the Financial Times, Reuters, and Bloomberg.
