The Italian NGO Emergency and its Brussels office are organizing a screening of their latest documentary at BSIS on Monday 28 November at 18:00. ‘Back Home Tomorrow’ depicts the stories of two children affected by war during their stays in the hands of the aid organisation Emergency; Yagoub, in a refugee camp in Khartoum, and Murtaza, in an hospital in Kabul.

The screening will feature a 40 minutes abstract from the documentary, and a presentation by Emergency Belgium staff. Their volunteers will be present as well, and the post-screening discussion intends at discussing the work of the NGO, the volunteering involvement and the issue of providing medical care in conflict. Along with a medical/health focus, it is of particular interest for students in conflicts, human rights or development. It is also the opportunity for students interested in volunteering and in humanitarian action to ask questions on the field work and on the ethics involved in humanitarian and healthcare action.
