SAVE THE DATE: major BSIS Conference EU-Russia, 2-3 February 2015, Brussels

Dear all,

BSIS will be organising a major conference ‘EU-Russia relations: which way forward?’ in Brussels on 2 and 3 February. The conference will be the first major event of its kind since the unfolding of the crisis over Ukraine. Confirmed speakers include Russian Ambassador Chizhov, EEAS Director for Russia and Eastern Partnership Wiegand, EEAS Head of Russia Division Degert, Hiski Haukkala (University of Tampere & Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and many others.

This Jean Monnet conference seeks to bring high-level diplomats, policy-makers and researchers together to reflect on EU-Russia relations. Four key themes will be dealt with: energy, minority policies, regional integration and the role of multilateralism. The event is organised by the University of Kent, in partnership with St. Petersburg State University, Carleton University and Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

The final programme will be online in early January.

Best wishes,
Tom
