50th Anniversary Doctoral Scholarships – Open to students of all nationalities

We are delighted to announce that we are calling for applications for two ’50th Anniversary’ doctoral scholarships to students starting in September 2014.  These scholarships are being awarded in preparation for the University’s 50th Anniversary in 2015.

Criteria
At the Brussels School, we provide research supervision on a wide range of topics across Law, Politics and International Relations. The School has a long tradition of high-quality research among its staff and students and our vibrant research culture attract students from all over the world who conduct interdisciplinary research. We offer doctoral degrees in International Relations, International Conflict Analysis and Law. We also offer two new doctoral degrees in Comparative Politics and Social and Political Thought. We advise all interested applicants to identify a potential supervisor from the list of Brussels School of International Studies academic staff. Candidates must hold a good Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject (relevant subjects include, but are not limited to: Anthropology, History, International Relations, Law, Political Geography, Political Science and Sociology).
The scholarship competition is open to all postgraduate research applicants.
How to Apply
To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must make a formal application for postgraduate research study at the University of Kent. Applications to the University can be made online. For a complete application, we require a 3,000 word research proposal, transcripts from both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and two academic references. A CV and motivation letter is also recommended.
Applicants should ensure they select ‘Brussels’ as the campus of study and to also inform the Admissions Officer of their intention to apply by emailingukbapplications@kent.ac.uk.
