BSIS International Conference: The Battlefields of the Future

Thursday 7 April 2022, 09.30 - 17.00

The University of Kent Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) will host this year’s edition of its international conference on April 7th. The conference will take a hybrid form, and attendees can choose to come to the on-site event at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, U-Residence at Bld Géneral Jacques 271, 1050 Ixelles of follow the panels online (link to be sent by email after registration closer to the date of the event)

This year’s event’s theme is: The Battlefields of the Future. These battlefields are conceived in a broad sense and include the challenges humanity is faced with by climate change, the disruption of international relations and global alliances, as well as the fight for sustainable development for all humans. Each panel will discuss One of these key issues and will consist of three participants representing the different sectors mentioned, and moderator.

The conference will bring academics, policymakers and practitioners from business, civil society, and other international organizations together to reflect upon some key issues shaping the battlefields of the future.

Carolina Cecilio, Policy Advisor for Risk and Resilience at EG3’s Brussels Office.
