PhD researcher Laura Skillen at the International Studies Association conference, 8-9 November 2019, Rhode Island

Third-year BSIS PhD student Laura Skillen is off to Providence, Rhode Island this week to present at an International Studies Association (ISA) conference.

She is part of a panel on “Reordering of the world and global racial violence”, where she is presenting her paper on “’EU did it!’ – blame and vilification in Brexit”.

She is also participating in a roundtable on “The Challenge of Restraint: Author Meets Critics Roundtable for Brent Steele’s Restraint in International Politics”.

Laura researches blame, emotions, and polarisation.
