Dr Maria Mälksoo at EWIS2019, Jagiellonian University, Kraków

Dr Maria Mälksoo will participate at the European Workshops in International Studies 2019 at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków on 26-29 June 2019. The 6th iteration of EWIS in Poland’s cultural capital (and former capital city) marks the contested 100th anniversary of International Relations discipline from its generally agreed beginnings in 1919, when the first department and chair in International Politics were founded in Aberystwyth, Wales. Under the umbrella theme of ‘The Next 100 Years of IR’, 25 workshops gather at the Jagiellonian University (founded in 1364).

As EWIS 2019 programme co-chair together with Prof. Artur Gruszczak (Jagiellonian University), Maria Mälksoo will present her work at the workshop ‘Rethinking the Sea in International Relations: Space, Time, Politics and Change’ (convened by Dr Benjamin de Carvalho, NUPI and Prof. Halvard Leira, NUPI).
