Dr Maria Mälksoo has published an article ‘A Baltic Struggle for a “European Memory”: The Militant Mnemopolitics of The Soviet Story in the Journal of Genocide Research (2018), vol. 20, no. 4, pp. 530-544.
The article examines the Latvian documentary The Soviet Story (by Edvīns Šnore, 2008) as a militant Baltic memory project and discusses its mnemopolitical efficacy in seeking pan-European condemnation of the crimes of totalitarian communist regimes.
