PhD student Laura Skillen presenting her paper at ISA-West in Pasadena, 21-22 September

Laura Skillen presented her paper “Building walls with blame: Trump as “victims’ champion” in the 2016 presidential campaign” at the IPSA World Congress in Brisbane on Wednesday 25th July.

PhD student Octavius Pinkard also presented his paper “Approaching Conflict-Generated Diasporas: The Lebanese Communities in Senegal and the United States”  at the same conference in July.

Laura has since been invited to present her paper at the ISA-West in Pasadena, as part of the “Emerging Scholars Forum” next month.  This forum, to be held on the morning of the first day of the ISA-West conference, will place four small groups of 3-4 emerging scholars with a senior person in the field. This is a valuable opportunity to receive in-depth feedback from a senior scholar at a regional conference, and we wish Laura the best of luck with her presentation.
