BSIS MA International Development student Jaime Aznar-Erasun won the second place for best internal paper (Best Runner up) at the Annual Kent Law School Postgraduate Conference.
Jaime’s paper was titled: Prioritization in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The paper was about some of the potential reasons why the SDGs prioritized tackling poverty over tackling inequality despite having many experts state that inequality is the biggest challenge of our time.
The Conference was about the challenges associated with the sustainable development agenda and law’s role in overcoming these challenges. Seeking to critically engage the legal and theoretical framework underpinning issues and successes of the universal agenda whilst suggesting possible alternatives.
