Dr Maria Mälksoo will give an invited lecture Memory at War and Memory in Law in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) on 7 May 2018.
Founded in 1635, ELTE is the oldest and largest, as well as the leading research university in Hungary.
The lecture will focus on the ongoing ‘memory wars’ between Russia and its former Soviet dependents, particularly Ukraine and Poland, and their respective ‘memory laws’ of recent years.
