Dr Maria Mälksoo will present a paper ‘Envisioning Europe from the East: À la recherche du temps perdu with Václav Havel and Lennart Meri’ as part of the panel ‘“Roads not Taken”? From 1989 Liminalities to Current Mimetic Walls’ at the 11th Pan-European Conference on International Relations in Barcelona, Spain, 13-16 September 2017. She will also give a paper on the emerging Western practices of countering hybrid warfare as part of a panel on ‘Culture and practice in security policy’ and speak at a roundtable on ‘The Role of Professional Associations Beyond the Ivory Tower’.
