Brussels Summer School 2017

BSIS will once more be opening our doors to Summer School students from Sunday 18 June – Saturday 1 July 2017.

The Brussels Summer School is centred on the theme of ‘Europe and the World’ which builds upon the academic strengths of the Brussels School of International Studies. Within this context various sub-themes will be covered, these include migration, the European Union’s (EU) relationship with emerging powers such as China, and the EU’s response to the global economic crisis.

The University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies is a multidisciplinary postgraduate school, which offers English language-based degrees bringing together the disciplines of politics, international relations, law and economics to provide in-depth analysis of international problems such as conflict, security, development, migration and the political economy and legal basis of a changing world order. Our strong links with Brussels-based organisations greatly enhance the teaching on our programmes and the Summer School and students benefit from many opportunities for research, internships and future employment by studying in the capital of Europe.

The value-added of a location in Brussels is the opportunity to expose students of international issues to the working of major international organisations such as the EU and NATO and the many international and non-governmental organisations based in Brussels.
