Dr Maria Mälksoo will present her research on the strategies of remembrance in transition countries at the conference “Contested Memories of the Difficult Past: Eastern Europe and Its History of the 20th Century” in Kyiv, Ukraine. The conference is organised by The German Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) with local partners to mark the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre.
