Module Evaluations

See original email of 20 November for screenshots

Dear Students,

You will soon be receiving requests to complete module evaluation surveys for the modules you are currently taking in the autumn term.

Why?
Module evaluations are an important opportunity for you (and BSIS)  to reflect on your modules to date. Your feedback helps us understand what you like and what you don’t like about various aspects of your modules. It also helps us make decisions about any changes we may need to make to them as a result, especially where a theme or pattern emerges from your responses and written comments.
You should be aware that  BSIS highly values your feedback and your opinions matter to us. The more considered feedback we receive, the better we are able to reflect and respond to it. We would therefore appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete a survey for each module you are studying.

When?
The survey will run in weeks 9-11 (Monday 23rd November to Friday 11th December 2015) for Law modules and 1st December to 23rd January for Politics and History modules ( Economics and Social policy modules evaluation date tbc) . For modules that continue and/or start in the spring term you will have the opportunity to evaluate these in March next year.

How?
The module evaluations are carried out entirely online and your responses are completely anonymous to BSIS. Once the surveys are released on the 23rd November you will receive an email to notify you that you have a survey to complete. To access the surveys you need to log in to your Moodle account and follow the links on the home page, they are usually located in a box to the side. For example:

Lecturers and seminar leaders will allow time in lectures and seminars for you to complete the surveys. Many types of mobile devices support the survey software so you will have the opportunity to complete the surveys in class or, be allowed time to access a student PC elsewhere.

During the time that the module evaluations are open, the system will automatically remind you to complete your surveys. You will only receive reminders if you have surveys still to complete.

If you have any questions or problems please email me ukboffice@kent.ac.uk

Kind regards
Sarah
