Many of you will probably have followed the news on the terrorism alert in Brussels. The Belgian government has today decided that the metro will not be circulating tomorrow (Monday 23 November) and that all schools in Brussels will be closed, including universities.
For this reason we have decided that also at BSIS all classes will be cancelled tomorrow, Monday, and the office will be closed. We will evaluate the situation again tomorrow, on the basis of the information provided by the government, and communicate whether classes will resume again on Tuesday. The module convenors teaching tomorrow will inform you separately about the arrangements made for the missed classes.
The government’s decision is a precautionary measure and there is no reason to be overly concerned. The official recommendation is to stay away from crowds for the time being. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff.
