2015-16 Update

Dear all,

We hope you have enjoyed the summer and are ready for the new academic year. Please see below for an update on building access, communications and a request for help at welcome week.

FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS:

Access cards:
Every student needs to obtain a building access card for the new premises. Entry to BSIS is not possible without an access card. Please obtain your access card before the start of term so that you are prepared for when classes start. There will be no entry for any student without an access card after 28 September.

FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS AND THOSE WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR STUDIES:

Communications:
All continuing students will shortly be enrolled on a new listserve – bsis-15@ with their Kent emails. Please do ensure you check your Kent emails regularly to make sure you don’t miss important information. You can also check the news section of the current student site at https://www.kent.ac.uk/brussels/current/news/index.html to keep up to date.

The ‘BSIS Current Students 2014-15’ Facebook page will shortly change name to ‘BSIS Students 2014-15’. This will allow all 2014-15 students to maintain contact as a group. Continuing students will shortly be invited to join ‘BSIS Current Students 2015-16’ which is currently set up for incoming students to get to know each other ahead of arrival. Further information will be sent in due course via the bsis-15@ listserve. And don’t forget to ‘like’ us on the main BSIS Facebook site at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Brussels-School-of-International-Studies/132923900051122 or follow us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/KentBSIS

HELP NEEDED!

Welcome Week:
This takes place 21 – 25 September. The programme is online at http://www.kent.ac.uk/brussels/documents/welcomeprogramme.pdf Please let BGSU President Daniel Lopez (dfl4@kent.ac.uk) know if you can help out with the campus tours on Monday 21 September. Both continuing students and those who have already completed their studies are strongly encouraged to get involved with the tours – the more the merrier!

Further information about academic arrangements will be sent by relevant colleagues in due course.

Best wishes,

Inez
