Dear staff and students
The task of moving to new premises is immense and with a reduced number of administrative staff available we are looking for volunteers from the academic staff as well as from PhD and masters students to help.
Volunteers are needed from Mon 13 Apr to Fri 24 Apr, although we may be finished much earlier if all goes well.
Before move
Unplugging and preparing all PCs and telephone.
Stacking chairs and furniture
Labelling furniture.
Labelling and stacking boxes.
Packing audio-visual equipment.
Packing the Shelf including periodicals in the student room and photocopy room.
Packing the kitchen and crockery store.
Packing the administrative office.
Packing the stationary and stock room.
Disposing of rubbish.
During and after move
Ensuring boxes and furniture are placed in the correct location by the removals firm.
Unpacking boxes.
Setting up all PCs and telephones.
Adjusting furniture to correct positions.
