BGSU Student Elections

Dear all,

As I am sure a few of you have already heard, Brussels Graduate Student Union (BGSU) is holding elections for new and open positions in the coming weeks. Generally, the BGSU works to maintain and develop relationships with the Administration. In so doing, we voice and resolve all appropriate concerns illuminated by the student body. We also work to plan events, parties, guest lectures, and other social events for BSIS.

This semester, we are trying something new with respect to elections in an attempt to make each semester-long BGSU tenure that much more efficient. In addition to the existing Chair positions, I ask you all to vote in assistant positions for each Chair. These assistants will work in concert with the corresponding Chair and will, by default, become Chair the following semester.

Open Positions for January 2015:
•    Vice President
•    Social Chair
•    Sports Chair
•    Academic Asst.
•    Student Welfare Asst.
•    Fundraising Asst.
•    Finance Asst.

A timeline for the election process:
•    If interested in one of the positions listed above, please email me (benjamin.elowe@gmail.com) by Friday the 30th with: 1) A photo of yourself; and 2) a three-four sentence summary explaining who you are and why you’re interested in the position you intend to run for.
•    A ballot box will be in the student room from Wednesday the 4th to Friday the 6th for you to submit and elect new BGSU members.
•    Elected members will be announced on Monday the 9th.
As always, if anyone has any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or any of the BGSU members.

Thank you!
