Dear all,
Further to Alastair’s email earlier this month confirming the results of the Board of Examiners, huge congratulations to all students who have successfully completed their programmes! This email is to reconfirm the details for the lunch on Friday 21st November.
We have arranged a buffet lunch for all BSIS students and this will take place from 14.00 until around 16.00 at the Cricketers pub in Canterbury. We invite you and up to four other guests to attend this lunch with us. The lunch is free and you do not have to pay to attend. There will be a range of sandwiches and nibbles plus two drinks per person (wine, beer or soft drinks) and there is a cash bar if you wish to purchase your own drinks after this. Please let me know, no later than 7 November, if you wish to attend and, if so, how many guests you will bring. If you have already contacted me, there is no need to resend your email.
Pol IR students may have also received an invitation from Gemma Chapman in the School of Politics and International Relations to a separate event taking place at the same time at The Marlowe Theatre, The Friars. The two events are separate. It is, of course, your choice which event to attend. We would suggest however that you focus on one event rather than both and ask that you bear in mind that some of your former classmates from the Law School are not included in the invitation to the Pol IR event.
The Graduation ceremony itself starts at 19.30 and further information is on the website at www.kent.ac.uk/congregations. Any queries about the arrangements for your graduation should be addressed to the congregations team in Canterbury (congregations@kent.ac.uk).
