Call for Scholarships

The Brussels School of International Studies awards a number of scholarship packages of varying amounts for postgraduate taught (MA/LLM) and research (PhD) students each year to help towards the cost of tuition. In each case the Scholarships Board is looking for the very best and brightest students but also those who show the greatest potential.

We are delighted to announce that we are now calling for scholarship applications for the MA and LLM programmes for the September 2014 entry. The Scholarship is for a 50% waiver of the Standard Programme fee (90 ECTS), for the first year of study. The information below serves as guidance for those thinking about how to prepare their application.

We are committed to rewarding applicants of exceptional promise and high academic standing, therefore the Scholarships Board is looking for academic excellence, such as a First Class Honours degree/high GPA, as well as academic potential, so it is extremely competitive.

Candidates should send a letter/email to ukbapplications@kent.ac.uk confirming their wish to be considered for a scholarship and explaining why they believe that they should be awarded one. If it helps, we invite candidates to imagine that they are standing in front of the members of the Scholarships Board and have one chance to tell them about themselves and why they would like to receive a scholarship. Candidates should ensure that their application number is mentioned on their letter/email and indicate ‘scholarships’ in the subject title.

Successful candidates will be registered at the University of Kent as full time students on taught programmes. These scholarships are open to students of all nationalities.

The deadline for applications is Friday 11 April at 17:00 (Brussels time) and successful recipients will be notified after this date.

Please note, if you have already sent your scholarship motivation letter, there is no need to send another one!
